Wid ambition of ruling d executable internet era, Google has already done innovative things.Since its turn from Only-Search-Engine(though greatest one) to services like Gmail n Google Earth, google has already expressed its ambition to rule web world.
And thru web - it wanna rule d business.
After a couple of innovative products like Gmail, Google Desktop, Google Docs & Spreadsheet(its so gr8 that i hav to write abt it! Jus try it u hav not already done so),now its GOOGLE APPS.
U can compare it wid Microsoft's initiative on web for small businesses -Microsoft Office Live( Microsoft Office Live is a program which offers small businesses to create and host a web-site for FREE) but its limited to some countries at present.
I'm so excited abt Google Apps that i cant eschew writing abt it - jus i experienced it n i wanna tell u - how amazing it is.

I'm Feeling Lucky

Surfing the internet, one of my friends asked me -what is this "I'm feeling Lucky" button at Google Search homepage. I dint reply at that time:-), but its true we all come to c it hundred times but still many of us don't know what this feature exactly is. Here it is, what Google says abt it:
"The "I'm Feeling Lucky™" button takes you directly to the first web page Google returned for your query. You will not see the other search results at all. An "I'm Feeling Lucky" search means you spend less time searching for web pages and more time looking at them"
But that may limit ur option to preview the results returned n to choose wat's most appropriate to visit first.
How much it is useful, it depends only on ur exp wid it, so jus it and then tell, If u come to Feel Lucky.

google.desktop / windows.vista

m sure that u mus hav used google's desktop search n management tool.I've been using it 4 last a year n I really find it a great tool 4 desktop management. One gr8 thing is -it got me rid of Microsoft's Dog(i.e. Windows' search).
Though I thought to introduce it here but now when many a things have got launched fast - I decided to experience latest ones - one of them is Windows Vista. As I was moving around 2 know its features - MS says that it has an Instant desktop searching tool n it also has Sidebar Gadgets to manage ur desktop n work. Also, u can download many additional gadgets from web as well. Isn't it 1 more 'copycat-thing-of-Microsoft'?
Anyway, Google Desktop is Google's desktop search software 4 Windows. Dis prog allows full text search of a user's e-mail, computer files, music, photos, chat, n Web pages viewed. Additionally, there r a number of gadgets developed by developers from all over da world, to put on a sidebar of ur desktop - from an analog clock, WiFi Indiacator, Games,a TV to anythin else u can dream up. Google's desktop search is as amazing as its web-searching n m sure after using it once u'll luv to search ur PC always by it n not by Windows' search in XP.
U can dock google desktop's search bar into ur Windows' status bar n its cool that it pops search results as soon as u type letters in search bar.Thru GD's gadgets not only u can manage ur desktop very well but also u can integrate ur desktop wid web seamlessly.I'd like 2 say that it's a MUST 4 any PC user. n that's da reason that MS has incorporated this idea in its new OS coz of growing need of better desktop management. It shud b appreciated but lem'me c if its any better in Vista than GD? till then xplore Vista or Goggle Desktop first if u havn't had it, till now - download it for FREE from here:

Enjoy ur mails - Offline!

Yes! This much-desired-by-user thing is now made possible by Gmail.

Many of us already use Gmail n know its features as well; then what’s the fuss about it?

What I’ve noticed that many of my friends don’t know about this great feature of Gmail that is not provided by other popular mail services (e.g. Yahoo, Rediffmail) as a free service. They charge for it what Gmail is providing free.

Technically speaking, it’s called – POP3 (or simply POP) access.

Errrr….many of u non-techies might be thinking that what’s this POP(sounds rock to u? ) actually n what does it serve?

Let me tell u bit by bit – POP (Post Office Protocol) lets u download ur mails from servers onto ur PC so u can access mail with a mail client software like Microsoft Outlook, Eudora etc. n u can read them offline too!

This POP access is free by Gmail.

So How do I setup my POP access?

…I’m going to tell u …First, u need to have a mail-client software(e.g. MS-Outlook) installed at ur PC then goto ‘Settings’ in ur Gmail account -> click ‘Forwarding and POP’ -> ….Heyyyyy! u can access Gmail’s help then why do this next-next-next here!

Many times, u get busy working on net n u don’t have enough time to read all funky-junky, inbox-cluttering mails forwarded by some of ur friends’friends’... This feature is really great in these times. So while u r online, accomplish ur other important jobs first n let ur mails downloaded onto ur PC n read them even when u r disconnected to net!

Dudes! Enjoy ur mails – Off--------------------------------------------- too!

.mobi – Get ready to get on the mobinet

“.mobi” is the latest tld –top level domain (like .com – u r much familiar with) for websites intended for use on mobile devices.
Yeah…u might think that u can visit websites on mobile even today as well, then what’s the need for a new domain? Ok, then tell me how often do u surf web thru ur mobile device? Not much now, coz its not easy to locate URLs or website addresses on mobile n it’s a tiresome thing to navigate web pages on a 2-3 inch screen. Right?
.mobi is intended to achieve good user experiences on mobile-web enabled devices.
It’ll fulfill the need to make mobile devices as useful as a PC for browsing n it’ll definitely make the navigation scheme on mobile-web much user-friendly.
As globally, four mobile phones are sold for every one PC, there’s a need for web-apps to go mobile.
The official – mTLD’s .mobi website says:
“dotMobi is the first – and only – top level domain dedicated to delivering the Internet to mobile devices. dotMobi will revolutionize the use of the Internet on mobile devices. dotMobi is designed to guide mobile users to made-for-mobile Internet content and services that can be accessed with confidence.”

With mobile Web surfing growing more and more popular – by 2008, 1.3 billion people are expected to be connected to the Internet via cell phones, according to research firm GSM Association, it seems quite natural to standardize format for mobile-web domain names. Now u’ll be able to access a company’s website for mobile by ‘companyname.mobi’. All these .mobi sites will have the XHTML-MP pages.

Don’t rush man! It’s ‘sunrise’ period that means only registered trademark owner organizations can go for it. General registration is scheduled to open to everyone on 26 September.By the way, it sounds cute - .mobi, isn't it?
